Laying of 123 "/4.5" 3 LPE Coated Carbon Steel Pipeline in Group - B Thoothukudi GA
-
Objective
The objective of this project was to supply HDPE PLB Ducts for optical fibre cable laying at the IOCL Thoothukudi site, as part of the installation of a 123 "/4.5" 3 LPE Coated Carbon Steel Pipeline in the Group - B Thoothukudi GA area.
-
Challenges
- Inspection Delays: The project required multiple rounds of inspections, which caused significant delays in the dispatch process. As these inspections were essential to ensure compliance with quality standards, the delays in their completion had a direct impact on the timely delivery of the HDPE PLB ducts needed for the project.
-
Solutions
- Proactive Communication and Coordination: Recognising the urgency of the situation, we communicated directly with both the client and our QC team to expedite the inspection process. Our team worked to ensure that all necessary inspections were conducted as quickly as possible without compromising quality standards.
- Timely Submission of Reports: Once the inspections were completed, we promptly compiled and submitted all inspection reports to the client, ensuring that they had all the required documentation for their approval.
-
Conclution
Despite the delays caused by the extensive inspection process, our quick response and close coordination with the client and QC team ensured that the 11 MT of HDPE PLB ducts were dispatched on time. This allowed the optical fibre cable laying at the IOCL Thoothukudi site to proceed smoothly. The project demonstrates our ability to manage complex situations involving multiple inspections and stakeholder coordination, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
