Jal Jeevan Mission - West Bengal

  • Objective

The project aimed to supply HDPE pipes for a drinking water supply initiative in the Birbhum district of West Bengal under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

  • animation-w4Challenges

    • Maximising Transportation Efficiency: A major challenge was reducing transportation costs by sending the maximum number of 90 mm OD coil pipes in a single truck. Initially, only 12 coils could fit in a truck, but the goal was to increase this number to reduce transportation expenses and improve efficiency.

  • Solutions

    • Optimisation of Coil Loading: Our team worked on optimising the coil diameter and packaging arrangement, enabling us to fit 14 coils in a single truck instead of just 12. This increased the load capacity and reduced the number of trips, effectively lowering transportation costs.

  • animation-w4Conclution

By finding an innovative solution to optimise the loading process, we were able to reduce transportation costs and increase efficiency for the Jal Jeevan Mission project in Birbhum. The successful supply of 260 MT of HDPE pipes for the drinking water supply initiative demonstrates our commitment to cost-effective and timely project execution. This solution not only supported the mission's objectives but also showcased our ability to adapt and solve logistical challenges in real time.
